It's great how JFK predicted that a man would be sent to the moon by the end of the decade, and then it actually happened.

He was just that great. Men like JFK come a dime a dozen.

I can't help but wonder how things would be if his assassination failed.

Didn't they cover that on Alternate History?

They will in a future episode. I've only seen one.

Ah. I'm curious as to what things would be like if he lived as well.

It's great how JFK predicted that a man would be sent to the moon by the end of the decade, and then it actually happened. That's because NASA was like "okay yeah he's right let's goooo" and went through the Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo space programs all in his honor. It was basically the best/most heartwarming thing to ever come out of bureaucracy :>

Which is a very impressive accomplishment, given that Washington bureaucrats hardly do anything right.

Back to the topic of NASA, I really can't wait until they land humans on Mars.

The problem hasn't been landing them on Mars, but rather, bringing them back. Mars is a one-way trip; a suicide mission, if you will. I think it has something to do with the difficulty of escaping Mars' atmosphere.
